If the peak ground acceleration agS at surface level (including the soil factor), determined according to the NPR 9998-webtool for a return period of 475 years is less than 0.05g or in case the webtool doesn’t produce any values, an assessment for seismic actions is not required (‘very low seismicity’).

Parameters

The Uniform Hazard Spectrum (UHS) may be displayed as an elastic response spectrum according NPR 9998. The required parameters are given in the table on the left.

If it is possible to use the UHS data directly in the chosen analysis method and/or software, the values given in the table above can be used.
