If the peak ground acceleration agS at surface level, determined according to the NPR 9998-webtool for a return period of 475 years is less than 0.05g or in case the webtool doesn’t produce any values, an assessment for seismic actions is not required (‘very low seismicity’).

agRef is the value of the peak ground acceleration at a reference depth of 30m below the surface or on an equivalent depth where the soil has a shear-wave velocity of 300 m/s or more (section 3.2.3.1).
